WHY YOUR DEALER NEEDS INSPECTIONS CERTIFICATION FOR NEW TECHNOLOGIES?

When you're searching for a dealer or garage where you can service your semi-trailer or forklift, you need to be assured of sterling quality at every turn. One thing that needs to be evident is that the service department is well equipped with the latest tools and diagnostic equipment. Also, the service technicians should be well qualified in all aspects to enable the efficient repair of your equipment so that you're back on the road in the shortest time possible.

One thing to look out for is certification, which should be prominently displayed. Look out for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) accreditation, which certifies that the service team is indeed capable of delivering a high quality level of service.

What does it take to be a Semitrailer Technician?

Certificate Graduates

Today, apprentices can opt for Certificate programs that run for one to two years. They get the opportunity to integrate classroom study with hands-on experience in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical malfunctions in semi tractors and other large diesel vehicles. They acquire in-depth knowledge about:• Electrical systems• Diesel engine inspection• Diesel fuel systems• Truck welding

Backed by a wealth of experience, senior members of the service department closely supervise and extensively train the certificate graduates as they gain practical experience. There are also Certificate graduates who opt to proceed to the next academic level.

Associate's Degree Graduates

Certificate degree graduates undergo a further two years of study to learn engine inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair. They earn qualifications to:

• Truck braking systems• Hydraulic systems• Transmissions and clutches• Steering and suspension

Professional Certification

A reputable garage ensures that its service team members are accredited by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), a widely-recognized organization. They take certification exams every five years to ensure that they are up-to-date with the latest trends in the trucking industry. Also, the technicians should regularly attend training sessions held by manufacturers, keeping them knowledgeable about emerging technologies.

With a wealth of experience and talent at hand, you will be guaranteed expert handling of all your fabrication, welding, and plasma cutting on site. What's more, a reputable garage should serve as a warranty station for all the lines that we sell even if you did not make your purchase with them.
